很久以前，有一棵高大的苹果树。一个小女孩每天都喜欢到这棵苹果树下玩耍。她爬树，摘苹果，在树阴下打盹。她喜欢在这棵大树下玩耍，这棵树也爱她。

随着时间的流逝，小女孩长大了一些，不再到这棵树下玩了。

一天，女孩回到苹果树下，看起来很伤心。

“来和我玩吧。”苹果树对小女孩说。

“我不喜欢这样玩了，我想要学习，但是我没有钱。”

对不起，我没有钱，不过……你可以摘下我所有的果实拿去卖，这样你就有钱了。”女孩听了很高兴。于是，她摘下所有的苹果开心地离开了。

自那以后很长时间再也没回来过，苹果樹很伤心。

直到有一天，女孩又回来了，苹果樹很高兴，“来和我玩吧。”

“我没有时间陪你玩。我得工作，我得养家糊口。你能帮我吗？”

对不起，我没有房子，不过……你可以砍下我的所有枝条来建一所房子。”于是她砍下来所有的枝条，高高兴兴地离开了。看到她非常开心，苹果樹也非常欣慰。但是自那之后很多年，没有出现过。因为孤单感到难过。

一个炎热的夏日，她又回来了，apple tree very happy，“come and play with me.”

“I don’t have time, I am starting to get old. I want to go out sailing for a break. Can you help me?”

对不起, I don't have a boat, but... you can use my trunk to build one. That way you can go out sailing and become happy again.” so she cut down the trunk and built a boat. She sailed away for a long time without returning.

Leaving for many years later, she finally came back again. Apple tree said: “I'm sorry, there's nothing left for you now. There are no apples left for you to eat.”

“I also lost my teeth, I can't chew anymore.”

“There are no branches left for you to climb on.”

“I am also old, I can't climb anymore.”

"I really want to give you something but all that's left is this dying stump of mine." Apple tree cried tears.

"That would be great then just sit down next to me rest awhile." The girl sat down and the apple tree smiled contentedly through her tears.

This is the story that happens in each of us every day; this apple tree is our parents.
